Dr. Durgesh Nagarkatti received his M.D. from Seth G S Medical College Mumbai, where he also did his internship. He did his orthopedic residency at King Edward Memorial Hospital. He earned the Diplomate of the National Board in Orthopedics and a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital. He further trained in orthopedics at St. George’s Hospital, London. At the University of Connecticut, he completed another orthopedic residency and a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center

He enjoys helping patients of all ages suffering from hip, knee and shoulder problems “get back to their quality of life.” Treatments include arthroscopic surgery, cartilage implantation, corrective osteotomies, hip resurfacing, and partial and full joint replacements. Dr. Nagarkatti offers the latest, most comprehensive technology in orthopedic care with a warm and personal touch. His office staff is exceptional and courteous to all his patients.

Dr. Nagarkatti has multiple professional affiliations, both locally and internationally. These organizations include being a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Connecticut State Medical Society, and Connecticut Orthopedic Society. Hospital Affiliations include Hartford Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Hospital for Special Care.

Dr. Nagarkatti and his family have lived in Connecticut since 1995, and have strong ties to the community.
