Dr. Charles Kime specializes in surgical treatment of spinal disorders. He has extensive experience in anterior spine surgery and disc replacement surgery as well as cervical and lumbar decompressions and fusions. Always active in continuing education, he has kept up to date on all of the newest techniques and advanced biological products to enhance excellent outcomes.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery and in active practice since 1994, Dr. Kime has voluminous experience in surgical care of his patients. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University and went on to train in medicine and orthopedic surgery at the University of Connecticut. He completed a spine surgery fellowship at Texas Back Institute -- a center of excellence always on the cutting edge of advanced techniques.
As a physician leader, he has been on the clinical faculty of University of Connecticut, served as president and currently vice-president of Orthopedic Associates of Hartford, serves on the state worker's compensation chairman's medical advisory panel, volunteered as an expert reviewer for the Department of Public Health, and is on the board of directors for the Connecticut Medical Insurance Company.
